As my company is in PAN registered Pvt Ltd. We have purchased some goods/services from PAN & VAT wala companies. I asked for confirmation for the transaction of last fiscal year for Annexure-13 but they didn't provide us. So We are preparing the confirmation letter to them as a buyer.

1) In case of purchases from PAN registered, where should we show the purchase amount, in taxable purchase column or Non-  taxable purchase column?

2) In case of purchases from VAT registered, where should we show the purchase amount, in taxable purchase column or Non-  taxable purchase column?  and should we segregate VAT excluding purchase in taxable purchase or VAT including purchases in taxable column?  or VAT amount also shown in separately?

Confirmation letter format is attached.

We're preparing this first time, so please waiting for your suggestion.

Party confirmation does not have a fixed format so it can be prepared in the format which is understandable for both the parties.

Recommendation on above queries:

1) If invoice does not include VAT amount, you may show the purchase amount as non-taxable purchase.

2) If invoice includes VAT for items purchased, the purchase amount can be shown under taxable purchase.

3) If there is mixed purchase in single invoice, you may segregate the taxable and non-taxable amount accordingly.

4) If purchase amount does not include VAT amount, it is better to have a separate column for VAT so that your total amount match with the invoice total.

KINDLY NOTE: We have not checked the files you attached.
